If there’s one thing you should know about The Derryfield School, it’s this: here, your student will never have to apologize for being smart (or artistic, or athletic, or just generally engaged). Our teachers treat their students as partners in their educational experience, modeling leadership and flexible thinking. As a result, students are deeply motivated and inspired. To balance rigorous academics, we offer an athletic program that’s competitive and inclusive. As for the arts, everyone participates and discovers new talents. Ultimately, we’re striving to provide a balanced education. We recognize that academic achievement without compassion and concern for others is meaningless. There’s a focus here on community, and students develop as citizens and scholars.
That kind of well-rounded approach yields great results. Derryfield has a 100% placement rate for four-year colleges. In fact, 100% percent of the Class of 2024 were admitted to one of their top three college choices and they received more than $5.5 million in merit funding. The best outcome? Derryfield alumni thrive and lead in their communities and chosen professions; they’ve learned to use Derryfield and its network of professionals as a lifelong resource.

Take a Look Around
Our Campus
Derryfield’s 70-acre campus has changed dramatically over the past few years with the addition of a 42,000 square foot Athletic & Wellness Center, the repurposing of our old gym into a Science & Innovation Center, and the relocation of our six-court tennis complex. In October 2023, we opened the Matarese Dining Commons where our students, faculty, and staff gather in community to enjoy healthy meals together. We’re eager for you to see Derryfield’s facilities for yourself!
