Soccer – Girls

Starting as a club sport in 1985, the Girls’ Varsity Soccer team has experienced significant success. The team was officially recognized by the NHIAA in 1986; the Cougars earned ten state titles (some at the higher combined MS level) between 1989 and 2001. Recently, Derryfield has earned Division IV state titles in 2008, 2009, 2010, and 2014. Since winning their 2014 state title, the girls’ varsity soccer team moved up to compete in Division III. The girls’ varsity soccer team won the state title again in 2015 and made an appearance in the 2021 semi-finals. Derryfield’s successful strategy is based on recognizing where and when the next best pass will lead to a scoring opportunity. We are also fortunate to have players that love the game and play spring soccer on ODP and their town club teams. Several of our players have experienced success at the collegiate level, playing for Duke, UConn, Middlebury, Williams, Boston University, West Point, Union, and Trinity.
