Soccer – Boys

The varsity boys’ soccer team is a member of the NHIAA, Division III. Derryfield soccer has a strong soccer tradition in the NHIAA, which includes 18 state championships since 1986. The programโ€™s history and quality of players have established Derryfield soccer as one of the premier soccer programs in the state. Derryfield is known for playing a smart and exciting style of soccer that is based on possession and individual flair. The success of the program is the product of the hard work put forth by the highly skilled and motivated players who have worn the Derryfield jersey. Thanks to their efforts and skills, Derryfield players consistently earn All-State honors presented by the NH Soccer Coaches Association. Furthermore, several Derryfield players have gone on to play soccer at Division I, II, and III colleges around the country. Most recently, varsity boys’ soccer won the Division III State Championship in the fall of 2017.

Derryfield’s JV soccer program is a competitive one that allows both experienced and beginning athletes to find playing time. The team schedule is eight to ten games per season, and every team member plays a minimum of one-quarter of the game. Skill development mirrors the varsity program with the intent that interested players will already be comfortable with the tactics and vocabulary of the varsity program. Skill development, competition, fun, and the highest level of sportsmanship are core values of the program.
