Basketball - JV Girls
2022 - 2023
Head Coach: Courtney Cheetham
Girls' JV basketball at Derryfield is a safe, fun, positive environment for girls to learn and develop their basketball skills and knowledge. It is often the case that the team is split into two groups of players: those that have played before and those who are learning the game for the first time. Therefore, the teaching of fundamental skills is at the forefront of what we do. All the strategy in the world will not be useful, if, after running the perfect play, the girls do not have the ability to put the ball in the basket. At practice, we combine drills and skillwork with fun and games, motivating the girls to work hard, while having fun in the process.
