Counseling

Academic challenge, personal growth. What happens in the classroom is only the beginning.
The Derryfield School values the well-being of all its community members. Mary Perkins, MA is the School Counselor and is on campus four days a week. She is available to support all students, faculty, and staff.

To best meet the needs of the community, Mary works along with Director of Wellness Courtney Cheetham and School Nurse Brianna Rourke, and information is shared as needed. The type of counseling provided includes crisis intervention, short-term counseling, stress management, and ongoing support. Outside referrals are made when necessary or as requested.

In addition to students' social and emotional well-being, the counseling office also assists Director of Academic Support Jenny Boesch in supporting students with learning style differences.

All questions and concerns can be directed to the counseling office at 669.4524, ext. 2263.
