Parent Faculty Association
Academic challenge, personal growth. What happens in the classroom is only the beginning.
When a student enrolls at Derryfield, the entire family joins the community. We have a thriving Parent Faculty Association that organizes events and offers programs to make everyone feel welcome at the School. Class parents and connecting families mentors are there to answer questions and serve as a resource for all parents. PFA volunteers are crucial to running several community events and programs throughout the year, culminating with the Spring Benefit.
If you are a current parent, we encourage you to log into derryfield.myschoolapp.com and check out the PFA page on the Resource Board.
The PFA hosts monthly meetings throughout the school year. We encourage you to attend these meetings as it is a wonderful opportunity to connect with other parents, hear from faculty, and get involved with PFA events. Meetings for the 2021-2022 school year are typically held on the third Thursday of each month at 8:00 a.m. Parents have the option to attend in-person or attend virtually via Zoom.
Class parents act as liaisons between the parents and the School and help foster parent-to-parent communication. They communicate with the Head Class Advisor and keep parents informed of events, while supporting the efforts of the Parent/Faculty Association. Please do not hesitate to reach our to your class parent(s) with any questions or comments.
Join parents, faculty, and staff as we welcome our annual PFA event to campus and celebrate another year at DS with a festive reception for the community!
All proceeds from the event support The Derryfield Fund.
