The Matarese Commons is the newest facility at The Derryfield School, featuring a combination of natural materials, including open wooden beams, a natural stone gas fireplace, expansive glass, and high-end lighting.

Performing Arts Theatre
Our modern 400-seat facility provides an ideal venue for theatrical and musical performances.

Lecture Hall
Our tiered-seating lecture hall provides seating for 75, and is equipped with a podium, retracting screen, projector, and VHS/DVD/Blueray player.

Conference Room
This 30-seat space is equipped with a projector, screen, and white board. A small kitchen adjoins the space—allowing for the preparation of refreshments.

FAQ
Is a security deposit required?
The School requires a $500.00 security deposit for usage of The Nancy B. Boettiger Theatre. The security deposit is due (30) days prior to the event.
Is a certificate of insurance required?
Yes, the School requires a Certificate of Insurance coverage listing “The Derryfield School” as Additional Insured, not simply a certificate holder. This comprehensive public liability insurance should have limits not to be less than:
- $1,000,000 for any single accident/occurrence,
- $500,000 for injury or death to one person,
- and $300,000 for damage to property.
Does Derryfield offer a non-profit rate for rentals?
Yes. To qualify for the non-profit rate, an organization must provide proof of its non-for-profit IRS designation.
