Meet Our Faculty
Laura Russell
Laura Russell has been teaching World Justice and Civics at Derryfield since 2012. Before that, she taught and coached at an independent school outside Philadelphia, and was a middle school principal at an independent school north of Boston. She earned her B.A. in History from Smith College and her M.A.L.S. from Villanova University. At Derryfield, she also coaches middle school field hockey and lacrosse, and she is chair of the Diversity Committee. Her husband is also an educator, as are her two grown sons, which makes for some interesting dinner conversations. Her favorite book is the irreverent Red Sky at Morning, which she has read at least five times.
Located in Manchester, NH, The Derryfield School is a private day school for grades 6-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
