Danielle Llewelyn joined the Derryfield faculty in 2015 as the Director of Student Leadership and Service and a science department member. She earned her BS at Rutgers College, NJ and her MS in Integrative Physiology at CU Boulder. Here at Derryfield, Danielle enjoys spearheading the efforts to create access and opportunity for all of our students to develop their capacity to be leaders. Danielle brings a deep commitment to social justice work, a love of teaching science (especially Anatomy and Physiology), and an eternal optimism in the potential of students to her work everyday. Danielle came to us after 15 years spent at other elite boarding and day schools in Idaho, California, New Hampshire, and Colorado. Outside of her work here, she enjoys traveling with her family (she’s visited all 50 states and 14 countries), hiking, swimming, biking, camping, and enjoying as much time in nature as possible. Her son Quinn is DS class of ‘24 and she enjoys seeing Derryfield through parent eyes and experiencing the excellence of her colleagues as teachers to her own son.
Located in Manchester, NH, The Derryfield School is a private day school for grades 6-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
