  • Soccer - MS Boys

    2020 - 2021
    Head Coach: Christian Nees

The middle school boys' soccer team serves as the developmental program for a solid high school program. Players new to the sport and those with experience are taught fundamental skills and strategies that incorporate both basic and advanced individual and team skills. Practice occurs daily with the team playing about ten games each season. Everyone plays in every game they attend, making each game truly a team event. Derryfield competes in the local Tri-County League, winning the Championship in 2011,12 and 13 and runner ups in 2014 and 15.

  • A win in the first playoff game

A nail bitter of a game with Derryfield on top. The boys began the game quickly scoring in the first 10 minutes of the game. A beautiful goal from Mouad. Auburn scored two goals to end the half. With the start of the second half, the midfield and defenders were working very hard to stop a very aggressive attack from Auburn. A penalty was called just outsideAuburn's goalie box. Miles R. took the shot and it just floated into the top left corner just out of the goalie to tie the game. The regualar time end in a two-two tie.

Overtime is first goal to win with two ten minute halves. The boys were hungry to score. We worked really hard to keep the ball on their half of the field. The forwards had several shots that went wide of the goal or the goalie was able to get his hands onit. With about 4 minutes left in the first OT period Justin B. got one in in the top right corner to seal the deal and send Derryfield to the Semis. With this win, we play on Monday at 3:30 home against Epping.

  • Congrats MS Boys Soccer

The boys had a great game against PMS yesterday! The sun was shining, the air was warm, and everything was going our way. We controlled the ball most of the game. Our middies were able to distribute the ball to our forwards and gave them many goal scoring opportunities. Our defense was great at stopping the attacks of PMA and our keepers had very few touches on the ball. Our goal scorers were Thomas F., Mouad, and two from Justin B. Our next game is home against Auburn and it is our first playoff game. We win on Friday and we will have another playoff game on Monday (possibly).
