    Head Coach: Shannon Best

Cross-country running at Derryfield welcomes male and female athletes at all levels of experience who are a willing to work hard and have fun. Daily practices are individualized so that each runner experiences challenge while being part of a team. Long runs, tempo runs, speed and hill workouts are part of the weekly training routine. Runners compete at the 5K distance in meets that bring together all classes of NHIAA schools. Weekly races throughout the season provide opportunities to test out training and strategies in preparation for the NHIAA Championships. Both boys and girls have won the Granite State Conference title on multiple occasions and Derryfield’s top runners regularly qualify for the NH Meet of Champions. A recent individual success was experienced by Casey Hecox '15, who won the 2014 State Individual Championships for Division III/IV. Derryfield School X-C Running
