Caring and engaged volunteers truly enhance The Derryfield School experience for both alumni and students.
Consider joining the Council which works to foster relationships between The Derryfield School and its alumni through engagement, leadership, and outreach.
Class correspondents are responsible for gathering and writing news about classmates for a column in the class notes section of the Derryfield Today Alumni Magazine, published once a year. The class correspondent also keeps the Alumni Office notified of classmates' address, phone, and email changes, and assists in locating lost classmates.
Decade chairs assist with the School's Annual Fund by reaching out to fellow alumni and encouraging support. The goal is to build alumni participation in the life of the School, and to support the financial stability of the School by continually increasing annual fund gifts from classmates.
We often have students and other alumni looking for information about colleges and universities or a variety of professions. It is wonderful to connect them with fellow alumni who have experience with schools or businesses of interest. We hope that you will be open to this networking opportunity.
Reunion is held each spring (typically the first weekend in May) in conjunction with Founders' Day and offers alumni an opportunity to reconnect with classmates and the School. Reunion Chairs are responsible for working with the Alumni Office to plan and coordinate the weekend's activities/festivities, and most importantly rallying classmates to encourage their attendance.Reunion Gift Chair
The reunion gift chair focuses on increased class participation in the School's Annual Fund in a reunion year. There will be friendly competition amongst the reunion classes with prizes awarded reunion weekend.
