Derryfield will have a two-hour delay on Thursday morning. If weather conditions are worse than predicted, we will re-evaluate in the morning whether we can safely open campus. Please keep an eye on WMUR or the Derryfield website for the final status of the school day. We will also send a follow-up email if the status changes.
The Derryfield School offers the advantages and opportunities traditionally found at top college-preparatory boarding schools, while also providing the benefits of living at home. It's the best of both worlds and requires a significant investment. The 2018-2019 tuition at The Derryfield School is $33,620, with additional costs for textbooks, technology, field trips, bus transportation, and activities, etc. ranging from $700-$1600. Families should prepare for tuition to increase 3-5% per year. Need-based financial assistance is available to selected qualifying applicants, and students may also apply or be eligible for non-need based merit scholarship.
Others Are Investing in Your Child, Too
The cost of educating one student is actually greater than the tuition. To make up the difference, Derryfield seeks funding from foundations that support excellence in education; holds auxiliary fund-raising events; uses income from the endowment; and relies on gifts to the Annual Fund. Support for the Annual Fund starts with the faculty, staff, trustees, and Alumni Council. Their participation rate consistently holds at 100% each year--a reflection of their commitment to Derryfield's mission and students. Parents, grandparents, alumni, and alumni parents also contribute, and every gift helps to keep tuition as low as possible and make the school affordable to a wider range of students.
Located in Manchester, NH, The Derryfield School is a private day school for grades 6-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
