Derryfield Celebrates Lunar New Year
Lunar New Year (January 22) was celebrated at Derryfield on January 13 in an event coordinated by the Asian Culture Club. In addition to dumpling-making, students worked on handmade cards for Heart of Dinner, a New York-based organization that provides free meals to Asian elders. With each meal they deliver, they also give a handwritten card. The Derryfield students were given the opportunity to write in different Asian languages.
Located in Manchester, NH, The Derryfield School is a private day school for grades 6-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
