Derryfield Defeats Holy Family 70-13
Thank you to everyone that has been watching our first two girls varsity basketball games via live stream. The lady cougars are off to a strong start beating Holy Family 70-13, and Pittsfield 59 - 4. The team has channelled their inner cougar, and enacted a pressure defense, creating turnovers which they have converted into fast break baskets. Game 1 was a total team effort, with every player scoring at least one basket. Leading the way in game 1 was Emmy Plage with 25 points and 11 steals, and Ava Plage with 7 rebounds. In game two, home against Pittsfield, Lily Losey led the way in scoring with 16 points, and the Cougars tenacious defense held Pittsfield to 4 points.
