Winter Break Athletic Recap
While our students may be taking a break from the classroom, our athletes are still competing hard with many of our teams involved in holiday tournaments and competitions.
Senior Emma Ward competed in her first meet of the year, Saturday at TriStar gym in Spaulding against seven other schools and came away with a 4th place finish in the all around competition. Congrats to Emma and Coach Ward.
Our ice hockey team had a fantastic run over the week beating Alvirne-Milford and Merrimack to advance to the finals of the Conway Arena Holiday Tournament against Keene. The boys battled hard well into the 3rd period before ultimately falling 2-0. This team is very skilled and fast. If you have a chance, get out to watch them play this winter. You won't be disappointed.
The boys' varsity basketball team went 3-1 at the Mike Lee Holiday bash in Farmington beating divisional rivals Linwood and Concord Christian, while only falling to division 2 Kennett. Get out and support our boys this Monday (1/6) as they return to avenge their only loss of the regular season against Farmington at 6:30 p.m.
The girls' varsity basketball team is playing at the Epping Holiday Classic, having won their first two games over Epping and Raymond. They conclude today at noon against PCA. Good luck to Coach Wilson and the girls. Your next chance to see them live at home comes on Tuesday 1/14 against Newmarket. Come support our talent girls this winter!
The alpine and nordic teams have been off this week, but return to action this Friday at Loon and Saturday at the Sandwich Fairgrounds.
Thanks again to all the coaches who gave up their vacations and time to help our athletes and teams. Enjoy the rest of the break.
