JV Captures Its First Season Win!

The JV fieldhockey team came out strong on Friday against Pelham to produce its first win of the regular season. Everyone played strong and the team capitalized on many opportunities in front of the net by scoring two goals--one by junior Paige Davis and the other by freshman Hannah Schwalke. Overall, the team showed growth in using the whole field and in their passing and dribbling skills. Margaret Abate was everywhere chasing balls up and down the field and defenders Suha Elsheikh, Ruby Amorin, and Gretchen Hirshfield held Pelham at bay. Great defense was coupled with awesome offense too by Elena Moore, Sami King, and Grace Coriarty who worked the ball up the field and put continual pressure on Pelham's defenders. Abbey Carr was terrific as she played both offensive and defensive positions during the game showing off her solid stick skills and excellent game sense. Erin Caparelli was stong at half back and newcomer Kennedy Amorim showed off her intensity and skills as a forward. What a fantastic win and wonderful effort by everyone!
