JV Faces Tough 1st Opponent

The squad faced Kingswood last week at home. Kingswood is known for their physical game and skill, and our DS team played hard and had a few chances but couldn't capitalize and fell to them 0-3. Many of their goals came as a result of play in the circle directly in front of the goal. Despite the loss, there was great play by freshman Elena Moore at center mid and Hannah Schwalke at center forward. Paige Davis has been steady and solid at inner working to move the ball up on attack and with her winger and halfback on defense. The team looks to be strong this season with many former middle school players returning to play now as freshman. Margaret Abate and Abbey Carr have been strong in defensive positions while Grace Coriarty, Taylor Hardner, and Skylar Wagner are getting to know the forward positions of the field. With a few new players to the sport this year and some returning ones as well, the team is poised to find some victories this season and become even stronger and more skilled overall players.
