DS Boys Keep Up Momentum, Beat Spaulding 7-2
After our great win against Memorial, the boys traveled to Spaulding. It is always cold and windy at Spaulding... Despite the conditions, the boys again got ahead early and kept their feet on the gas. Chris Lynch (#4) and Brady McGinley (#3) were the first of earning 8-3 wins. Nick Sperduto (#6) and Max Smith (#2) were off next, putting their opponents away 8-4. At #1 singles, Tyler Critz’s opponent changed his game completely making it a close match, before Tyler found his stride and won 8-6. Chris Van Natta encountered a very steady #5 from Spaulding, but could not put it together to close out the match, losing 7-9. In doubles, Tyler and Max (#1) ran into some problems – lucky shots and mishit balls on the big points – losing 3-8. At second and third doubles, Chris L. and Nick (#2), David and Brady (#3), controlled all parts of the court and dominated the overmatched Spaulding teams, both winning 8-1. Final score DS 7, Spaulding 2.
