February Construction Update
Construction is progressing, and in each issue of Cougar Tracks we’ll update you on our progress and share what is coming up next. These will be high level updates; anything that is urgent or will impact students will be shared in Nuts & Bolts (like parking arrangements).
Athletic & Wellness Center
The roof trusses have been installed and completed and the roof decking and exterior framing are underway. These are the first steps toward weather proofing and fully enclosing the building. In addition, rough electrical work has started in the lower level cardio, weight, and locker rooms.
Science and Innovation Center
Construction of the science and innovation center is scheduled to begin March 18, with the demolition of the gym floor and current locker rooms. Families will receive further communication from the school with logistical details about how this affects the daily routine before spring break.
The contractor used a break in the weather to resume some site work at the tennis courts, including trenching for new water lines. Future work depends on the weather.
Located in Manchester, NH, The Derryfield School is a private day school for grades 6-12. Students benefit from a challenging academic program, fine and performing arts, competitive athletics, and a wide selection of extracurricular activities.
