Ice Hockey at the Friendship Invitational
As many of our kids were "cutting up" the dance floor Saturday night here at DS, some others were cutting up the ice in Dover. The HBDS Warrior's went up to Dover Saturday night to play in a "Friendship Invitational." There, we played three 25 minute running games. Tying the first 0-0, winning the second 2-0 and tying the third 1-1. Giving up our only goal, down a player in a penalty kill situation. Cam Bishop, our utility player of the night filled in as center, left or right wing on various lines when called. Dug deep in the corners and kept a clean sight path in front of the net for his goalies. Rylan Morgan had an outstanding job between the pipes stopping all shots his way. Making saves that could have been mistaken for some old fashion breakdancing moves. Unlike at most typical school dances, where the Freshman boys stand around, Freshman Matt Tourangeau got into the mix once he stepped onto the ice and let his presence be known. The game schedule is posted online. Our "home" rink is Conway Arena in Nashua, but we play a couple of games in the Concord area. We would love to have some DS presence at our games.
