Music

Creative Arts offerings enhance the skills taught in every classroom at Derryfield. Music is an important part of the Derryfield experience, from which students build an enduring musical foundation. Students take risks and develop musical skill through challenging courses and performance. Collaborative classwork and ensembles develop creativity, build empathy, and promote critical thinking. The music program provides opportunities to perform on and off campus, and to showcase their talents to the Derryfield community and beyond. Through competitive auditions, students participate in state and regional festivals. Introductory and advanced music courses, in addition to extra-curricular music clubs, allow each student to pursue his musical passion. Our program supports advanced study and pursuit of the musical arts at the college level and beyond.
