Secondary School Admission Test (SSAT) scores are a required portion of the Derryfield application. There is not a standard test score that a student must attain in order to be considered for admission to Derryfield, though scores are useful as we generate the most complete picture of the student. A pamphlet enclosed in the Derryfield admission packet outlines how to sign up for the test. Alternatively, you may access www.ssat.org for online registration. When you register, be sure to enter the Derryfield code, 2800, so that your scores will be reported directly to us.

Please note that The Derryfield School is a testing site in October, November, December, and January. You can register to take the test at Derryfield by accessing www.ssat.org.

Applicants for the tenth, eleventh, or twelfth grades may submit PSAT or SAT scores in place of the SSAT. Students who may have taken the SAT through the Johns Hopkins Program Center For Talented Youth (CTY) are encouraged to submit their scores as a supplement to the SSAT scores.

Please note that students who take the test later than January 8, 2013 will miss the priority application deadline of February 1, 2013. To meet this deadline, students are encouraged to register for the earlier test dates. The SSAT website, www.ssat.org, has detailed information about dates, locations and special testing accommodations.

As a service to our applicants, The Derryfield School is offering the SSAT Flex Test on Saturday, January 26, 2013 (snow date of Sunday, January 27, 2013).  To register for this test you must complete two steps:
(1) Call the Admission Office at 603.669.4524, option 3 and speak with or leave a message for Claire Fauth to inform her that you wish to have your child take this test
(2) Register at www.ssat.org/flex; our test ccenter code is 2800, our school code is 2800 and the access code is occur third.
